Sleep Cycle
This tool examines your sleep cycles and gently rouses you during a lighter phase of slumber.

What is Sleep Cycle?
Sleep Cycle is an intelligent alarm clock and sleep tracker that uses patented sound analysis or acc elerometer technology to monitor sleep phases without requiring a wearable device. Users place their phone on the nightstand or floor near the bed, set an alarm time, and the app analyzes movement and sound throughout the night to determine sleep sta ges. Within a customizable wake-up window (from instant to 90 minutes), Sleep Cycle identifies the user's lightest sleep phas e and triggers the alarm at the optimal moment, aiming to reduce morning grogginess. The app provides a sleep score based on duration, sleep stages, and interruptions; detailed nightly graphs showing light, deep, and REM sleep; snore detection and re cording; and long-term trend comparisons. A premium subscription adds online backup, long-term trend analysis, sleep notes, w orld sleep statistics, and advanced snore analysis. The app integrates with Apple Health and supports background mode so user s can exit the app after setting the alarm.

- A person reviews two weeks of sleep data and notices that nights with ca ffeine after 3 PM consistently correlate with lower sleep scores and more frequent awakenings. They adjust their caffeine cut off time and see their average sleep score improve from 72 to 84 over the next week.
- A couple uses Sleep Cycle to track snoring patterns. The app records and timestamps snoring episodes, revealing that snoring peaks during deep sleep phases and increases after alcohol consumption. T his data helps them decide to consult a sleep specialist.
